So, my husband has this thing where he likes to pretend he's not tired when, really, he's exhausted and falling asleep mid-conversation. I tell him time and time again that he's narcoleptic...he doesn't believe me and tells me he doesn't fall asleep when I say he does. (Because I have nothing better to do but lie about when he falls asleep.)
Anyway, so we're chilling out, gearing up for our adventures this weekend and he's nodding off while we're watching Stacy and Clinton tear it up on TLC. Then the snoring begins, which is when I proceed to wake him up to tell him if he's tired to just go to bed. He tells me that he's not tired, he wasn't sleeping (or snoring) and that he's not going to bed. Fine. Who am I to argue?
Me: Just go lay down for a minute.
Him: I'll come say goodnight to you but I'm not going to bed right now. I'm not tired.
Me: Okay. But just go lay down for a minute, I'll be in there in a second.
Him: Not right now, I'm not tired.
(He goes and lays down while I send a few emails out.)
A few minutes later...
Me: Hey, so here are our restaurant options for tomorrow...beach or no beach?
(insert heavy snoring here)
Just like a little kid, I swear. My favorite part is when I go wake him up, he still acts as if he was never even sleeping. It's quite classic.
