So after thirty years of calling itself "Music Television", MTV finally dropped the tagline off of its logo. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even back in the Beavis & Butthead days of the mid-90's the only "music" on MTV was in the middle of the night. I specifically remember trying to stay up extra late just so I could catch the latest Jane's Addiciton "Been Caught Stealing" video...or to catch Slash busting it out on "November Rain" (go ahead, watch it...you know you want to). And that was a good fifteen years ago. The past decade wasn't even worth channel surfing through any of the video channels because...well, they weren't playing videos...they were full of reality crap. And still are.
That being said...cheers, MTV, for finally not trying to pretend to be what you're not...
